Learning Letters in the Dark

il_570xn-3106975771Using a 25 cent piece of craft felt and a $1 bottle of glow in the dark fabric paint, I create an ABC sheet. When she was younger, at bedtime, she would pick a letter. “T” I would exclaim followed by the phonetic sound then “T is for Tickle!” Of course, she got tickled! As she got better with learning her letters she would say the letter name, I would point to it, and say, “K is for kitten, K K K.” For us, most “school” learning happens in the 30 minutes before going to sleep.
