Learning how to teach what I never was taught (…well)

Using a Sharpie Permanent Marker, I created some Math Blocks. They are tactile, easy to use and loved in this household. I wrote 1-100 on one side, the math symbols, then a dot to represent the quantity of 1, and the last side with 5 dots. The idea is to keep math on the Base 10 System (Singapore math, Montessori Math beads). These Lego Duplo Math blocks are great for simple addition and subtraction, sequencing, and number recognition. Not to mention, the number 100 is physically represented. We have used them to measure, tell time, and more!
